Electric cars (electric vehicles/EV) from China really pose a real threat to automotive giants. The latest data shows that exports of electric cars from the Bamboo Curtain country will jump drastically to 87 percent in November 2025.

Based on data from the General Administration of Customs of China, quoted from Carscoopsthis surge proves that China’s dominance in the global market is no joke.

Unmitigated, China’s EV exports to Mexico skyrocketed to 2,367 percent with a total of 19,344 units in just one month. One of the main actors behind this success is the tiny BYD Dolphin Mini or in other markets it is also called Atto 1.

Apart from Mexico, countries in Southeast Asia are also “subscribers” to Chinese electric cars. Indonesia was in second place as China’s largest export destination in November with 17,503 units, followed by Thailand with 13,517 units.

In the last two months BYD Atto 1 has filled the throne of best-selling car in Indonesia. Selling 9,000 and 8,000 respectively in October and November 2025, the Atto 1 displaces the Innova and Avanza, which previously were often the king of the best-selling cars.

In total, the Asian market is still China’s largest consumer. From 2025 to November, nearly 1 million Chinese electric cars will flood the roads in Asian countries.

China’s electric car exports are not just the Asian market. In the UK, exports rose 113 percent to 9,096 units last month. In total, 121,555 Chinese cars have entered King Charles’s country this year.

Meanwhile, Belgium is still the main entry point for Chinese cars into mainland Europe with a total of 195,309 units in the last 11 months. Although the figure in Belgium decreased slightly by 15 percent compared to last year, total exports throughout Europe reached 604,105 units.

This figure is up 12 percent compared to 2024 and is a red signal for legendary European brands which are now starting to have difficulty competing on price with Chinese technology.
