The hardest-hit regions include Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Antofagasta, and Temuco, indicating a geographically widespread problem that demands urgent attention.

The Disconnect: Increased Security Costs,Persistent Insecurity

Despite a doubling of security expenditures by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs),the perception of insecurity remains stubbornly high. This suggests that simply throwing money at the problem isn’t enough. A more comprehensive and strategic approach is needed to effectively combat crime and restore a sense of safety.

Despite the increase in investment in this area, the perception of insecurity and the presence of organized crime in many neighborhoods do not decrease.
