Bogotá, Medellín and Ibagué were the scenes of a coordinated operation between Colombian and US authorities that allowed the capture and prosecution of four people accused of sexually exploiting children and adolescents and of producing, storing and distributing audiovisual material with sexual content.
The Attorney General’s Office reported that, in coordination with the National Police and the United States Homeland Security Investigations Office (HSI), investigative actions were carried out that uncovered several crimes against minors, some of them with international links.
According to the prosecutor, two of the cases were identified in Bogotá. In one of them, A woman is accused of transmitting, through a virtual application, the abuse to which her two daughters, aged 4 and 9, were allegedly subjected.in exchange for payments made by a contact resident in the United States. The transactions, according to the investigation, ranged between $600 and $2,000.
In the same city, A babysitter was captured for her alleged responsibility in the abuse of two children who were under her care, ages 2 and 8. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the woman recorded the events and later shared the videos.
Another case was recorded in Medellín, where an older adult accused of sexually exploiting her 15-year-old granddaughter was identified. According to the authorities, he forced her to have intimate relationships with adults, which were recorded in exchange for money.
Finally, Albeiro Martínez Quevedo was captured in Ibagué, who, according to the investigation, would be involved in obtaining, storing and distributing explicit sexual material. of children and adolescents between March and June 2025, through instant messaging systems.
During the arrest proceedings, the authorities seized electronic equipment that contained videos and photographs that would reveal the illegal activities.

Prosecutors from the Special Unit for the Investigation of Crimes against Children and Adolescents (UENNA) presented the four detainees before guarantee control judges. Each of them were charged, according to their presumed individual responsibility, with crimes such as abusive carnal access with a minor under 14 years of age, pornography with a minor, pimping and demand for child sexual exploitation.
