15.00 – A 17-year-old boy lost his life today along the Trapani–Castelvetrano railway line, between Mazara del Vallo and Campobello di Mazara.
The young man, a Tunisian citizen residing in Campobello, was apparently hit by the train while working in the fields in the San Nicola district. He was wearing headphones, a circumstance that may have prevented him from hearing the arrival of the convoy.
The section is still closed due to investigations by the Railway Police.
