The VIII international Ballet Festival “Orleu,” held in Almaty from March 30th to April 4th, witnessed a resounding success for students from the Buryat Republican Choreographic College (BRHK). Competing against 134 participants from eight nations, the BRHK contingent reaffirmed the institution’s standing as a leading classical dance school in Russia. This victory underscores not only the students’ individual talent and commitment but also the remarkable quality of instruction and the effectiveness of the BRHK’s curriculum.

Rising Stars: Individual Achievements

Several students distinguished themselves at the festival:

  • Davas Khomushku: awarded Diplomat status (under the guidance of teacher Lyudmila Georgievna Mergeneva).

Nurturing Talent: From Tuva to International Acclaim

the story of Ayush bulchun exemplifies the BRHK’s role in cultivating talent from across the region. Identified early in the Republic of Tuva, Ayush’s potential was recognized by his teacher, Chinar Sandak, from MBOU to “Samagagaltayskaya DSHA named after Simita Avi-ool”.

During the exercises of choreography, Ayush Bulchun demonstrated a high level of performing skills, artistry and musicality, which allowed him to successfully perform at competitions and concerts of various levels. Ayush has repeatedly participated in republican competitions where he won awards. Therefore, after three years of study, he was sent to the choreographic college to Ulan-Ude. I am sure that his potential and love of dance will allow him to achieve great success in a professional career.
