Former President Jair Bolsonaro and seven associates face interrogation in Brazil’s Supreme Court regarding the alleged coup attempt against president Lula in 2022.

The Supreme Court of Brazil commenced hearings on monday to interrogate former president Jair Bolsonaro and seven collaborators accused of orchestrating a coup attempt against President Lula in 2022, according to an AFP journalist.

Judge Alexandre de Moraes initiated the session with the presence of the ultra-rightist, alongside other defendants and their legal representatives. The ex-president is scheduled as the sixth individual to be interrogated, with the proceedings potentially extending until Friday.
