Doug Ford wants to act
“Personally, I’m going to talk to the whole team about it, but they’re exploiting people,” Ontario Premier Doug Ford told reporters Wednesday as he headed to his office for a cabinet meeting.
Doug Ford targeted the company Ticketmaster, the company that has the rights to sell tickets at the Rogers Center in Toronto.
“I don’t think it’s fair to have one company controlling everything, and that’s what I think is happening with Ticketmaster right now,” he said.
This is the same company that was criticized as part of singer Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, which went to the Rogers Center in Toronto and offered a show to its fans at staggering prices.
“Having a single player on the market controlling the tickets is unacceptable. We are therefore in the process of studying the question,” said the Ontario premier.
