The Espace de la Ninarde hosted for the first time a blood drive organized by volunteers from the Calvisson-Congénies Association of Volunteer Blood Donors, in partnership with the French Blood Establishment (EFS). And for a first, it’s a real success: 83 donors came forward, including 18 first-time donors. A remarkable figure for a town of this size, which testifies to an exceptional mobilization of the Congénois.
As soon as it opened at 2 p.m., volunteers saw residents of all ages flocking in, sometimes coming with family or friends, driven by the desire to be useful and support an essential cause. The EFS team, supported by the association of volunteer blood donors, welcomed everyone with a smile and greeted several times “a remarkable local dynamic”.
Building on this success, the EFS is already planning to include Congénies in the list of regular partner municipalities. News that will undoubtedly delight donors one day… and tomorrow.
