Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley have officially taken their relationship public,appearing arm in arm on the red carpet in Rome,Italy,on Saturday,may 24. The couple attended a dinner event at the palazzo Barberini, marking their first formal appearance together.

Hurley commemorated the evening by sharing a photo on Instagram, captioning it “Roma” followed by pink heart emojis. Cyrus responded to her post with red heart emojis. The actress, radiant in a hot pink gown with cape-like sleeves, was photographed smiling alongside Cyrus at the event.

Damian, Hurley’s son, also joined the couple at the Valentino Garavani cultural space opening, posing with his mother and Cyrus on the red carpet.

Relationship Timeline

Cyrus and Hurley confirmed their relationship in April with a photo of a kiss shared on Instagram on Easter Sunday. Since then, they have been increasingly visible on social media and have spoken openly about their connection in interviews.

How They Met

The pair previously worked together on the 2022 Lionsgate comedy, Christmas in Paradise, which also starred Kelsey Grammar.

Cyrus recounted his initial connection with Hurley on Apple Music’s The Ty Bentli Show, stating, “We did very few scenes together but the couple times we were in the same scene there was a chemistry there. We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn’t laughing a lot.”

Following the completion of filming, Hurley reached out to Cyrus via text, offering her support during a challenging period in his life.Cyrus remembered, “Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most… this friend who made me laugh.”

Cyrus praised Hurley, saying, “She’s so impressively brilliant. she reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. She’s a very smart businesswoman. if you can laugh together, you can make it through everything.”

He added, “It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy.”

Hurley also spoke about the relationship to Entertainment Tonight on May 13, saying “Billy’s a very, very fabulous person.He’s a very gentle man, very nice. We’re very happy.”
