The payment of rent assistance to “dead souls” was reported by the US Department in a recent financial report that was obtained to The New York Post. It was the largest city in the USA and its surroundings that, along with Washington, DC and California, was supposed to be the main destination for payments that were supposed to help people pay their rents.
However, much of the money instead of its original purpose ended up in the pockets of fraudsters, and only now is the ministry discovering that up to more than $5 billion went to accounts that listed long-dead people or “thousands” of foreigners.
“The massive misuse of taxpayer dollars has not only occurred under President Biden, but has also been effectively fueled by his administration’s failure to implement strong financial controls, resulting in potentially billions in unauthorized payments,” Cities and Communities Secretary Scott Turner said in a statement on the department’s investigation into where the department’s money went.

He added that, according to him, it is “no coincidence” that taxpayers’ money went to so many tens of thousands of dead people, and he calls the matter a “systematic fraud by Biden and the left.”
“The Department of Housing and Urban Development will hold accountable those who defrauded the American taxpayer,” Turner added.
30,000 dead people receiving housing isn’t an accident — it was systematic fraud by Biden and the left.HUD will hold those who defrauded the American taxpayers accountable.

Ministry on the matter according to Fox News it came as it conducted a review that compared his records with a US Treasury database. At the same time, the $5.8 billion in questionable payments make up a sizable portion of the total federal rent assistance disbursed last fiscal year.
Currently, the department is investigating whether questionable payments can be legally classified as fraud and to determine its exact scope. Only then will he be able to decide whether funding should be suspended or canceled and whether criminal charges should be filed in the matter.
In addition to “dead souls” who made up 14% of all beneficiaries and foreigners who made up 4%, around 11% of aid went to more than 200,000 tenants who received amounts that exceeded the threshold for aid in their geographic area.

The former head of the department, Marcia Fudge, under whose tenure the dubious payments took place, has not yet responded to a request by the American media for comment.
