Bercian talent continues to achieve success. More than 47,000 followers and 10,000 posts on Instagram have turned Laura Martínez del Reguero from Ponferra, based in Madrid, into a reference in the world of lifestyle, decoration and styling.
Through their account, @lachimeneadelashadas, Bierzo and Ponferrada are always very present. In her profile it is common to look at her daily life, with careful compositions of fashion, decoration and photography. «It was born as a blog in 2008; I had a scholarship at the university and at that time there were very few spaces of this type, so I decided to create it,” he explains. Years later, in 2012, he made the leap to Instagram.
Laura Martínez defines herself as “always creative” and, after working for a marketing company, she decided to take a professional turn and prepare for competitive exams. “I am creative with everything I do, also with my children,” she adds.
Books, magazines or shop windows are some of the main sources of inspiration for a creator who seeks to convey “peace, harmony and an aesthetic that attracts attention.”
Its content focuses mainly on lifestyle, decoration and photographic styling, areas in which it has specific training. Added to this are colorimetry or store routes. “There are many different fields and that is what people really like, very careful profiles where aesthetics is essential,” he points out.
He studied at La Borreca school and later at IES Gil y Carrasco in the historic area of the city. Later she moved to León to study Library Science and Documentation, although fate finally took her to Madrid. Even so, Ponferrada is still very present in his life, since “my whole family lives here.” “I publish every time I come, and I have spent many summers in the region creating content for the blog, much of it inspired by the Bierzo landscape.”
It is not surprising, therefore, that a significant part of its followers come from the region. He has even organized solidarity workshops, such as one for making wreaths in El Bierzo, and shares “places or corners that even many Ponferradinos don’t know about.”
Her bond with the land also extends to Holy Week, since she is a member of the Brotherhood of Jesús Nazareno and it does not take years for her or her children to put on the tunic to procession. He has also participated in the designer Silvia Fernández’s fashion show last March, which was held at the Ponferrada Castle.

Laura Martínez defends that Instagram is not just the territory of big cities. “There is a lot of movement here too.” There are profiles of all types and for all types of audiences, from the rural world to sports. “I believe that there is room for everyone and that each person can find someone to follow and who contributes a lot to them,” he remarks.
To finish, @chimeneadelas hadas recommends its essentials in Bierzo. «A magical place to have a delicious snack. I love La Moncloa de San Lázaro with its cheesecake and rice pudding, my favorites, and in winter a delicious chocolate with fritters. Staying at their hotel is a tradition for me and walking through their store and the new showroom is something not to be missed.
To buy a book, nothing like The Impossible Book and “this is how I visit my friend Alex; to buy clothes or a detail to give as a gift: La Favorita and for the little ones, Alecrim “the most beautiful toy store in Bierzo.”
