Initially, the heat will remain manageable, but a thermal surge is expected between Wednesday, June 11, and Friday, June 13, with temperatures possibly reaching 37-38°C in many inland areas of the South and the islands. If current projections hold true, between June 16 and 20, Italy could face a significant weather shift.Temperatures are expected to decrease substantially, returning to values more typical for this time of year. Simultaneously, instability is predicted to increase, bringing showers, intense thunderstorms, local storms, and hailstorms that could effect large areas of the country, from north to south.

this would not only provide a welcome cooling effect but also an opportunity to rebalance the thermal and water anomalies already present in many parts of the country.
