Electronic Arts (EA) has initiated testing for a battle Royale mode in Battlefield 6, leveraging the Battlefield Labs program to integrate established series features into a novel format. The testing phase,which began this week,allows developers to assess how elements like squad gameplay,vehicles,destructible environments,and tactical destruction perform within a battle royale context. This new mode is being referred to as “Battle Royale on Battlefield-Art“.

The goal is to incorporate the core elements of the series, such as large-scale battles, diverse classes, and strategic team play, into a mode that typically functions differently from conventional battles. The test mode introduces a entirely new battlefield designed specifically for the Battle Royale format. Up to 100 players, divided into 25 teams of four, will compete for survival. players will have access to transport and armored vehicles, with the ability to destroy surroundings, collapse walls, and create new pathways [[2]].

A key feature designed to increase the pace of matches is the “Deadliest Ring.” Contact with this ring results in immediate elimination, offering no cover or escape. Warnings will alert players to the ring’s approach, encouraging more frequent engagements. Players will select their class before the match and can unlock skills and traits during gameplay. Earning experience through combat or completing missions will increase their rank and grant perk-like bonuses. High-risk orders and reward goals will also be available on the map, offering opportunities for valuable loot or vehicles [[3]].

Support and Respawn Mechanics

Support classes and mobile respawn options provide players with additional chances to continue playing even after initial setbacks.
