SBB has been expanding the Basel SBB station on behalf of the federal government since the beginning of 2023. The project package includes the additional perron track 19/20 and the provisional passenger. The two buildings in the station create the necessary capacities for more trains and more travelers.
Even if the project package goes into operation at the end of 2025, the following applies: after the expansion is before the expansion.
