European markets Show Positive Trends Amid Central bank Watch

European markets are displaying positive momentum in the mid-session, as investors keenly await decisions from various central banks.This week is expected to be eventful with meetings from the Fed, where a quarter-point interest rate cut is anticipated, along with discussions from the Bank of England and the Boj. Attention is also focused on potential tariff adjustments by the United States. In currency markets, the euro has edged up to $1.1748 against the dollar.
The Stoxx 600 index has risen by 0.3%. paris is performing well with a 1% increase following Fitch‘s recent assessment and despite internal political uncertainties. the 10-year OAT is yielding 3.48%, widening its spread with Italian bonds. milan is up by 0.8%, Madrid by 0.4%, and Frankfurt by 0.3%, while London lags slightly with a 0.1% decrease. Banks (+0.8%) and luxury goods (+1.2%) are bolstering the main European indices. The energy sector remains relatively stable (+0.07%), with oil prices trending upward. WTI crude is up by 0.6% at $63.06 per barrel, and Brent crude is at $67.29, a 0.4% increase. Pharmaceuticals are down slightly (-0.7%) as the market watches commercial policies of the United states.
In Piazza Affari, Cucinelli (+3%) and Moncler (+2.7%) are performing strongly. Leonardo (+2.2%) is also up, mirroring gains in the broader European defence sector, along with STM (+2.2%). Among banks, Intesa Sanpaolo (+2.2%), Bper (+1.8%), and Popolare Sondrio (+1.6%) are showing positive results. Conversely, MPS (-0.5%) and Mediobanca (-0.4%) are down, though Mediobanca remains near its historic high after reaching 22 euros. Amplifon (-0.9%), Tenaris and Diasorin (-0.6%), and Recorded (-0.4%) are experiencing weaker sessions.The spread between BTP and Bund remains steady at 79 points, with the Italian 10-year bond yielding 3.48 percent.
