Aya Nakamura was married at 20

In 2015, Aya Nakamura began collaborating with many artists, and gradually made a name for herself. They asked me clearly either I wanted to be a singer or I wanted to be a mother. For me, there was no choice to make. (…) That’s how little by little we separated.”

The singer also keeps her feet on the ground thanks to her husband at the time. “I was married at 20she remembers. (…) At the time, my husband insured me, so my money was my money. I didn’t have to pay my rent. (…) I was just taking care of my dream.” Enough to have “real stability at home”, which helped her a lot when her career took off.

Little by little, Aya Nakamura earned larger and larger amounts of money. But it was not this change in lifestyle that weakened his marriage. “He knew me well before fame so he didn’t necessarily see any changes, but it was more about timing,” says Aya Nakamura. “I didn’t give as much time anymore. I wasn’t at home much anymoreI didn’t necessarily have the same desires, and between 19 and 23 years old you don’t have the same mentality.”

In December 2020, Aya Nakamura appeared as a couple with video clip producer Vladimir Boudnikoff, after dating rapper Niska, who allegedly perpetrated domestic violence against her. The couple welcomed a little girl, named Ava, on January 6, 2022, then finally separated in October 2022 after two years of relationship.
