Sunday: rain in the morning, loosening up in the afternoon

The day starts gray and wet in many places on Sunday. It can rain heavily, especially in the eastern half. In the high mountains, the snow border drops to an altitude of around 2000 meters. However, the rain decreases in the course of the morning. In the afternoon, the sun shows up, especially from the west. To do this, the wind from west to northwest is noticeably fresh up and brings cooler air masses into the country. The maximum values reach only 14 to 22 degrees, with the highest values in Carinthia. The temperatures are 4 to 10 degrees at a height of 2000 meters, the 10 degrees are reached in East Tyrol.
Monday: sunny and late summer
The sun predominates at the beginning of the new week. Only from Salzburg eastwards keep dense clouds in the morning, locally also fog. The start to the day is cool, but in the afternoon it gets warm late in the late summer with 20 to 26 degrees. The hair dryer can be felt in some regions. During the night, showers from Bavaria (Germany), some of which are accompanied by lightning and thunder.
Tuesday: cold front brings rain
On Tuesday, a cold front moves from northwest to southeast via Austria. Again and again it rains, there is also a thunderstorm. In front of the rain, the sun still seems in Carinthia and in southern Burgenland. Later it loosens up something with west wind between Bregenz (Vorarlberg) and Linz (Upper Austria). The temperatures reach 16 to 25 degrees, the highest values in the southeast of the country.
Wednesday: Still unstable
Wednesday is changeable and noticeably cooler. Dense clouds dominate, some rain falls again and again. The sun has a hard time to assert itself. The daily maximum values are only between 14 and 21 degrees.
