For both Argentinos and Rivadavia, winning this championship would be very important. For the award itself, for the money it gives and for the qualification to compete in the Copa Libertadores in 2026. El Bicho has more experience in lifting trophies: it won the Nacional in 1984, the Metropolitano in 1985 and the Apertura in 2010, plus the Libertadores itself in 1985. For Lepra it would be the first consecration between teams in the first category, since their only coronation was that of the first Nacional in 2023. Also at that level, the second category, Argentinos have triumphed, but on four occasions: 1940, 1955, 1997 and 2017.
