Apple released a beta version of VisionOS 1.1, in which enthusiasts discovered the ability to easily reset Vision Pro in case the user forgot the password.

At this time, it is not possible to reset Vision Pro outside of the Settings app, and the Settings app is not accessible without entering a password. This means that anyone who can’t remember their password will have to take the Vision Pro to an Apple Store or service center.
In the beta version of VisionOS 1.1, enthusiasts found a hint of adding an option that will allow you to reset your password without contacting a store or service. This hint is a system notification that users will receive after many attempts to enter the code.
“Apple Vision Pro is locked by security. You can wait and enter your password again, or you can erase and reset Apple Vision Pro right now,” the notice reads.
This reset is expected to remove all content from the device. Once cleaned, Vision Pro can be set up again as a new device by adding a different password.
