It was in December that Amy Schumer shared the news that she and her husband would go their separate ways.
– Chris and I have made a difficult choice to separate after seven years of marriage. We love each other very much and will prioritize raising our son. We ask for privacy, the actor wrote on his Instagram profile on December 12, 2025.
She also stated that she and her husband still care a lot for each other and that they will forever be a family.
The reason for the breakup is unknown, but according to sources to People, it must have been mutual.

Now the couple has officially filed for divorce, writes People magazine.
Speculations about a possible breakup between Schumer and Fischer began to circulate as early as November and early December, but Schumer took to Instagram and dismissed the rumors.
But she was honest about the relationship apparently going through a test:
– We are crossing our fingers that we will get through it. He is the best,” she wrote in an update through her story feature on the platform.
