Jakarta – It was said that soap opera actor Ammar Zoni will have the opportunity to be released on parole in December 2025. Ammar should be able to apply for parole until he is assimilated for his third drug case.
Jon Mathias, Ammar Zoni’s lawyer, said that Irish Bella’s ex-husband will not receive remission in 2025. As a result, the chance of being released on parole in December 2025 is just a memory.
Instead of getting remission, Ammar Zoni was again involved in a drug case around January 2025. Ammar Zoni and five other suspects were suspected of being involved in drug trafficking in the Salemba Detention Center.
As a result, the star of the soap opera 7 Man Tiger was once again entangled in new legal problems. Even though the sentence for the third drug case has not yet been completed.
Starting from an incidental raid at the Salemba Class I Detention Center, Central Jakarta, on January 3 2025, correctional officers became suspicious of the movements of a number of inmates, including Ammar Zoni. When the search was carried out, three packages of crystal methamphetamine weighing 1.84 grams and two packages of marijuana weighing 24.84 grams were found.
Ammar Zoni was charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) and/or Article 112 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. The evidence confiscated included methamphetamine, synthetic tobacco (MDMB-4en PINACA), and ecstasy.
Apart from the legal process, the Directorate General of Corrections also imposes sanctions for violations of disciplinary regulations. Ammar was placed in solitary confinement for 40 days and deprived of his integration rights, including the possibility of parole.
Ammar Zoni was transferred to Cipinang Class 1 Prison in June 2025. After evaluating and considering the level of risk, the Directorate General of Corrections decided to move him again, to Nusakambangan Prison.
Thursday (16/10/2025) morning, a group of officers took Ammar and five other inmates who were categorized as high risk from Jakarta to Cilacap. They arrived at 07.43 WIB, with their hands handcuffed and their heads covered with black hoods.
“This is proof that the warnings of the Minister and the Director General are serious. Anyone involved in drug trafficking will be prosecuted,” stressed Rika Aprianti, Head of the Cooperation Sub-Directorate of the Directorate General of Social Affairs.
Ammar Zoni is now officially a resident of the Karanganyar Super Maximum Security Prison, a correctional institution known for housing serious prisoners. “It is hoped that this step can change their behavior to become better inmates, in line with the goals of the correctional system,” concluded Rika.
