The Davos-based AI start-up AlpineAI has agreed on a partnership with the Friborg-based big data specialist Navique, which previously operated under the name Scigility. Navique should be the first company to implement access to the new SwissGPT API.
AlpineAI has entered into a strategic partnership with Navique. The company, which was founded in 2013 and specializes in complex data analysis, is based in Friborg and until recently operated under the name Scigility. As part of the cooperation, Navique acts as AlpineAI’s integration partner: Navique will be the first company to implement access to the new SwissGPT API.
The Davos-based AI start-up AlpineAI markets SwissGPT as a Swiss alternative to ChatGPT. The company promises data storage in Switzerland and compliance with high data protection standards.
“Trust and self-determination are at the center when AI is used in critical areas,” said Pascal Kaufmann, co-founder and chairman of the board of AlpineAI, in the statement. “Together with Navique, we are showing that Swiss companies can use technology confidently, without dependence on US, Chinese or other providers that are incompatible with our data protection laws.”

Incidentally, ChatGPT manufacturer OpenAI is calling on AlpineAI to rename SwissGPT, citing trademark protection. Read more about this here.
