As part of it’s designation as a European Sports City for 2025,Alcobendas is set to host the XXI Open National WKA/Fujimae on Saturday,April 5th. The José Caballero Municipal Sports Center will transform into a battleground for martial arts enthusiasts, showcasing a diverse range of combat sports.
Diverse Disciplines on Display at Amaya Valdemoro Pavilion
Starting at 10:00 AM, the Amaya Valdemoro Pavilion will be alive with the energy of competition. The event promises a full day of intense matchups across various disciplines,including:
- Point Fighting: A dynamic sparring style focused on scoring individual points.
- Kickboxing: A stand-up combat sport blending punches and kicks.
- K1: A more complete striking style incorporating knees alongside punches and kicks.
- Muay Thai: The “art of eight limbs,” utilizing punches, kicks, knees, and elbows.
- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: A ground-fighting martial art emphasizing grappling and submissions.
Beyond the competitive bouts, the event will also feature demonstrations of kobudo, the ancient Japanese martial art of weapons proficiency, and captivating Pasias, showcasing the beauty and precision of various martial arts forms.
