Ajman Development Decisions: Key Sector Updates

His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, chaired the Executive Council meeting, which was held within the annual meetings of the UAE government in Abu Dhabi, within the framework of enhancing the integration of work at the national level, and continuing to develop the quality of life in accordance with the goals of the Ajman 2030 Vision.

In his opening speech, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed that the work of the Ajman government is part of a shared national responsibility, and said: “The next stage is based on moving “from vision to impact… and from planning to the real experience of the people.” His Highness pointed out that the evaluation no longer depends on models and reports, but rather on the reality of people’s lives, how they spend their day, how the service is provided to them, and the extent to which they feel the presence of the government in the details of their lives.

The Council approved the draft human resources law development for the Ajman government, in a strategic step aimed at aligning government work policies with the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030, enhancing the quality of life of the government employee and his family, and establishing an attractive institutional environment based on balance between life and work.

The project includes a modern leave system to support the family and parents, and more flexible career paths, in addition to empowering people of determination within government work environments. The law also adopts flexible work patterns that suit the needs of government agencies and the nature of jobs, including the distribution of working hours, and the adoption of remote work models inside and outside the country, and ensures raising productivity, improving job satisfaction, and building a sustainable work culture.

The Council announced the formation of the “Lifelong Learning Council” in the Emirate of Ajman, to provide visions and advice on the path of lifelong learning, and to bring together education, skills, and labor market partners, to ensure the building of a human being capable of development and competition.

His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed that building people is the basis of the emirate’s competitiveness, and its main drive towards sustainable development and leadership in various vital sectors.

His Highness also approved the conceptual framework for public services in the Emirate of Ajman, which includes 11 main sectors that touch the life of society, and reflects the government’s transition from the role of implementer to creator of public value, and adopts service evaluation from the perspective of human experience. His Highness directed the expansion of the scope of the “secret shopper” to include public facilities and field services, in addition to launching the “realistic simulation” program that tests the experience of beneficiaries on the ground.

The Council also reviewed the Urban Empowerment Strategy, which includes 83 urban projects to rehabilitate the city according to inclusion and integration standards, including developing the Corniche, bicycle paths, rainwater drainage, and an inclusive urban structure.

His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi directed work to reach 100% readiness of all public facilities and government buildings in the emirate, stressing that comprehensiveness is not just the adaptation of buildings, but rather a change in the philosophy of urban planning to ensure that the city is suitable for everyone without exception.

In the environment and sustainability axis, the Council reviewed the environmental goals of the Emirate of Ajman 2030, which include reducing carbon emissions by 40%, planting 50,000 mangrove trees, raising waste treatment to 80%, and establishing 43 new parks with an area of ​​875,000 square metres.

The Council reviewed vital infrastructure projects, which include developing 260 kilometers of roads, creating 99 kilometers of bicycle and pedestrian paths, and increasing the rainwater drainage network to 66% by 2030, in addition to expanding smart lighting to reach 83%.

The Council approved supportive policies to create effective partnerships between the government and the private sector to invest in environmental projects in a way that ensures accelerated completion and sustainability of resources, and makes environmental protection a shared responsibility between all sectors.

At the conclusion of the session, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed that the next stage must witness realistic results that people can feel, saying: “The next session must carry models of success and realistic stories. We want an impact that will be seen and an achievement that will be written.”

The session was attended by Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Municipality and Planning Department, Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Executive Council and members of the Council.

Following the conclusion of the Executive Council session, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi toured the interactive exhibitions accompanying the annual meetings of the UAE government 2025, which included the “Our National Identity” exhibition, the “Pulse of the Nation” exhibition, and the “Artificial Intelligence” exhibition.

During the tour, His Highness viewed the pavilions of a number of participating entities, including the Cybersecurity Council, the Emirates Space Agency, the Federal Tax Authority, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, where he learned about the most prominent projects and initiatives that employ artificial intelligence technologies to develop government services and enhance their efficiency to serve humanity and society.
