On Wednesday, November 12th, we, Eb, took part in a guided tour as part of AI Week. The various stands offered an insight into current projects and showed how diverse artificial intelligence can be used.
At the beginning we were welcomed into the transition house before we split into two smaller groups. So some were able to cover the use of AI in robotics, while others were more concerned with the use of AI in everyday life. At the various stations we were explained how AI can help, for example, when looking for a job or controlling a robot. The Lübeck University and the Fraunhofer Institute also promoted their projects.
There was an opportunity to ask questions throughout the tour, and the scientists involved explained in detail what opportunities AI offers and what challenges it poses. At the same time, we received information about career prospects in the areas of computer science, engineering, medicine and data science. The stations explained this topic in a playful way, so we all learned a lot of new things.
