This year, WWE is organizing more and more events on the same day as the AEW. This Sunday, NXT will present Heatwave a few hours after Forbidden DOOR. It does not stop there since WWE will organize its Ple Wrestlepaloza at the same time as All Out, the PPV of the AEW.
Asked about this new WWE strategy shortly before Forbidden Door, Tony Khan reacted. The president of the AEW says that they are an excellent year 2025 and that they remain concentrated to continue on this path. He declares:
“We had a great year 2025 and I think it is because everyone in the AEW is focused on making AEW a big company and continuing our excellent year.”
AEW Forbidden DOOR will take place this Sunday, August 24.
