by Archynetys Entertainment Desk

Spanish actor and film director Eduardo Casanovawho is known for roles in series such as “La casa de las flores”, decided to “break the silence” and revealed to his followers that he lives with HIV.

“Today I break this unpleasant and painful silence after many years. A silence that many people with HIV keep and suffer from (…) I do it my way, through cinema, which is my way of communicating”he wrote in the description of a video on his Instagram account.

According to what the 34-year-old actor said, it is a documentary film produced by Jordi Évole and will be released in theaters next year.

Casanova said that it was a decision he made with dignity: “Dignity should be the way in which all people with HIV can come out of the closet. (About 80% of people with HIV have not shared with almost anyone that they have the infection, due to a stigma that condemns us to systematic and most unjust rejection in the world)”he commented.

In his message he assured that, despite the fear and uncertainty he felt when revealing his condition, today he “feels deeply happy.”

According to the preview published on his social networks, in the film you can see conversations with his doctor, his nurse, close collaborators and friends in which his situation as a person carrying the virus will be reflected.
