Golf, frequently enough perceived as a costly pastime,is seeing new initiatives aimed at attracting younger players to the sport.

Bank of America has introduced “Golf with Us,” a program designed for youths aged 6-18 who are interested in learning golf through the Youth on Course program. Many local golf courses are participating by offering free instructional clinics.

Participating courses allow children to play for $5 or less per round. Across the nation, over 2,000 courses are partners with youth on Course.Families can register via this link.

“When kids get involved in sports, they learn first-hand about achieving thier goals and develop lifelong skills that help them thrive,” said David Tyrie, President, Marketing, Digital & specialized Consumer Client Solutions, Bank of America. “By working with Youth on Course to help make golf more accessible, we’re helping grow the sport while also making a positive impact in our communities.”

The program also provides a registered handicap index within the United States Golf AssociationS Golf Handicap Information Network (GHIN) system, along with ongoing development and learning opportunities. Families interested can enroll in Youth on Course and find out more about the Golf with Us offer at BofA.com/GolfwithUs.

“golf has the power to shape young lives in incredible ways – not just through the sport itself, but through the friendships, confidence and opportunities it creates,” said Youth on Course CEO Adam Heieck. “Through this partnership with Bank of America, we’re making it possible for more kids across the country to step onto the course and discover what’s possible. This partnership is about more than just golf; it’s about opening doors and changing futures.”
