Details of the Crime

The investigation into the death of 35-year-old vasilica Potincu, who worked as an escort, has led to the arrest of Andrea Monsoni. Potincu was found dead in her legnano apartment with multiple stab wounds.

According to reports, the suspect, Andrea Monsoni, became enraged when Vasilica Potincu refused to return approximately “70 thousand euros” that he had given her. The situation escalated, resulting in the fatal stabbing.

The victim’s mother told investigators that Vasilica “had fallen into depression” and had sought legal advice due to harassment. A friend corroborated this, stating that Monsoni allegedly “stalkerized it with continuous requests for returning the money.”

The Arrest and Investigation

Andrea Monsoni,a 28-year-old metalworker from robecco sul Naviglio,was apprehended and questioned regarding the homicide. He has been formally charged with the crime. During questioning, Monsoni invoked his right to remain silent.

The victim’s sister revealed that Monsoni had initially offered financial assistance to Vasilica but later began “blackmailing it.” A friend of Vasilica testified that she “suffered from panic attacks” and anxiety.

Prior to the murder, Vasilica’s lawyer had sent a warning detailing “countless calls during the day and at night from the disturbing tenor.” The warning also mentioned an incident where Monsoni allegedly “stopped in front of his domicile and forced to get on his car following a threatening behavior.”

Financial Transactions and Disputes

Monsoni acknowledged transferring a substantial amount of money, approximately “70 thousand euros,” to Vasilica, claiming the transfers were gifts. Though, he later demanded the money back, leading to heated disputes.

An incident occured on “January 12 last” when Monsoni allegedly showed up at Vasilica’s workplace in Legnano. Vasilica reported that he “showed up under the house” and that she later discovered her “damaged car with deflated tires and broken crystal roof.”

Surveillance footage captured Monsoni in via stelvio, Legnano, on the night of the murder. He was seen pacing nervously before disappearing for a period of time that aligns with the estimated time of the crime.

Further investigation revealed that Monsoni had downloaded “images evocative violent death” onto his cell phone prior to the incident.Disturbingly, he also “paid an escort again” just three days after the femicide.
