Seven years after his last album “Aphrodite”, Dimartino announces a tour and a new album. “The unlikely flood of the Oreto” is the title of his fifth studio album and will be followed by a series of concerts in particular places starting in May. This is a return to the solo dimension, after the last few years of shared projects with colapesce and collaborations.
Dimartino will return live with “The unlikely flood of the Oreto Tour 2026“, a series of concerts in unconventional and evocative venues in which he will bring new songs live. The setlist will also include songs from his repertoire that have marked his path as an author and musician over the years. All in an intimate and unplugged format. Six guitar and voice appointments in which the artist will bare the songs in front of his audience.
«Already while writing the album I imagined a very acoustic live dimension. – says Dimartino – My idea is to strip the song to restore its fragility. I chose to play in some mystical places not to perform a ritual, but simply to prepare the public to listen more attentively.”

River goldmeaning of Dimartino’s song
To anticipate the album will be released this Friday a song entitled River gold. The song opens the album and immediately introduces the sound and narrative imagery of Dimartino’s new recording chapter. The central image will be that of the river, a place of mystery, research and transformation.
“The gold of the river” tells the story of a gold prospector stopped in the middle of a river bed wondering about the meaning of his search. A reflection on contemporary man, on the goals we pursue and the passage of time. The gold digger is a symbolic figure who moves in the current of life chasing a goal. He will realize that that very search takes him away from what really matters.
Between images of water, silences and currents that drag you back, the protagonist arrives at a conscious surrender. He will let the gold remain where it is, in the mystery of the river. The song was written by Dimartino and produced by Roberto Cammarata. It is a delicate folk ballad where the arrangement revolves around a guitar arpeggio that takes on an almost popular, electronic and organic value, while the mellotron acts as a backdrop.
