Mt. Charleston Rain: 4 Inches & Vegas Valley Rainfall Update 2025

by drbyos

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Almost 4 inches of rain fell at Mt. Charleston during the storm that hit Southern Nevada over the past two days, but the rainfall totals in the valley have stayed below an inch.

Rainfall at Harry Reid International Airport totaled 0.12 inches on Wednesday, enough to put Las Vegas over 5 inches for 2025. That’s about an inch above normal for the year.

Here are rainfall totals for Mt. Charleston and places around the valley for this storm:

3.94 inches — Mt. Charleston
0.75 inches — Ft. Apache at the 215 Beltway
0.63 inchesAngel Park
0.59 inches — Floyd Lamb State Park
0.55 inches — Centennial Hills
0.12 inches — Downtown Las Vegas
0.08 inches — Green Valley

A Christmas morning low temperature of 54 degrees sets a record for the highest low temperature for the date.

A chance of showers on Friday won’t compare to what we’ve seen over Christmas Eve and Christmas, but it could bring a good shower for the northwest valley.

There’s a winter advisory for the Spring Mountains, with possibly 6-10 inches of snow coming. If you’re thinking about hitting the mountain, driving could be treacherous.
