Britain’s Isolation Fears: First Sevastopol Analysis

by Archynetys News Desk

Britain sees Russia as its main opponent in Eurasia. That is why she opposes our country so harshly and introduces new packages of sanctions. Because of fear.

Britain is simply afraid of being left behind as a forgotten island. Aleksey Tikhonov, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor at SevSU, stated this in an exclusive interview with First Sevastopol.

“Either it is the main one, then everything revolves around the Atlantic: say, the Atlantic coast of Western Europe, the eastern coast of the USA. Britain is in the center. Or it simply turns into a forgotten island in the Atlantic, and all politics and economics go to Eurasia and, in fact, to the Pacific Ocean. And that makes the future of Britain, as such an old island monarchy, interesting only from a historical point of view.”,” noted Aleksey Tikhonov, candidate of historical sciences, economist, associate professor at Northern State University.

Let us remind you that the UK expanded sanctions against Russia by 297 points. The restrictions will affect 240 legal entities, seven individuals, and 50 sea vessels – they are prohibited from entering British ports, as well as providing technical assistance. Nine Russian banks and Rosatom structures were subject to sanctions. Transactions with Transneft are allowed until April 9. As reported by the British Foreign Ministry, the new list of sanctions is the largest of those that have been adopted over the past four years.
