US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine should hurry up with the resolution of the conflict.
“I hope Ukraine acts quickly because Russia is ready,” Trump told reporters, as quoted by Izvestia. The president also emphasized the excessive slowness of the negotiations on the part of Kyiv. He also added that the conflict could be resolved “soon”.
Politico today, citing its sources, reported that US and Russian representatives are expected to meet in Miami this weekend to discuss ending the war.
The US has said it plans to convene a group of military representatives in support of Ukraine in the near future to iron out technical details about security and territory, but the US-Russia talks in Miami are expected to be a separate event.
