BNPB has again updated the number of deaths due to disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra. As of this afternoon, BNPB recorded that 867 people had died as a result of the disaster in the three provinces.
This data is known based on the site dashboard emergency management of floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Friday (5/12/2025), at 17.00 WIB.
Apart from that, there are 521 people who are still missing. The number of injured reached 4,200 people in three provinces.

Number of victims who died: 867 people

Number of damaged houses: 121 thousand units
Number of districts/cities affected: 51
BNPB recorded that the largest number of fatalities were residents of Agam, West Sumatra, namely 156 people. Apart from that, BNPB recorded that around 835 thousand residents became refugees.
The largest number of refugees is in Aceh Tamiang, reaching 281.3 thousand people. Apart from victims, BNPB recorded that 405 bridges were damaged, 270 health facilities were damaged, 509 education facilities were damaged, and 1,100 public facilities were damaged due to the flood.
The number of dead, missing, injured and evacuees may increase as the evacuation process and cleaning up remaining material from flash floods and landslides is carried out. Until now, a number of roads in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra are still cut off. The flow of electricity and communications in disaster-affected areas is also not yet completely normal.
