The 212 reunion will be held today at Monas, Central Jakarta. A number of issues will be discussed in this activity, ranging from disasters in Indonesia to problems in Palestine.
“Joint prayers for the safety of the nation when the disaster breaks out in Sumatra with the government working together with the community to overcome the disaster. And don’t forget the Palestinian issue,” said Reunion 212 spokesperson Aziz Yanuar when contacted, Tuesday (2/12/2025).
Aziz said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung would attend today’s reunion. He also confirmed Rizieq Shihab’s presence at the event which will be held at 17.00 WIB.

“God willing, he (Rizieq Shihab) will be present,” said Aziz.
This 212 year reunion event also felt different because it was held for the first time in the afternoon. Aziz said there was no special reason for moving the reunion time.
“To be more cool and solemn,” he said.
Aziz explained that the reunion would start at 17.00 WIB. From 17.00 to 20.00 WIB, muhasabah istigasah remembrance prayers and occult prayers will be held for victims of natural disasters in Sumatra and Aceh.
The event continued with the opening singing of the song ‘Indonesia Raya’ at 21.00 WIB. For two hours until 23.00 WIB, the event will include remarks from figures from mass organizations and the government. The 212 reunion will close at 23.00 WIB.
Police Prepare Traffic Engineering
Police prepare traffic engineering during the 212 Reunion activities at Monas, Central Jakarta (Jakpus). Police said traffic engineering was prepared to anticipate congestion at the event location.
“For this reason, we have prepared several traffic flow techniques, which are predicted or possible at the time of implementation, yes, if the schedule is in the afternoon, starting from the afternoon, it is possible that the Jalan Merdeka Barat, East, North, South sections will experience congestion,” said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Komarudin in Jakarta, Monday (1/12).
He appealed to road users to look for alternative routes. Traffic diversion will be carried out situationally.
“Meanwhile, for diversions, we will again carry out situational measures. If it is predicted that there will still be movements or large mass mobilization, we will carry out diversions earlier,” he said.
Komarudin said there were 1,214 personnel deployed. He said traffic police would be on guard at points prone to traffic jams.
“Including intersections that are quite crowded, such as Harmoni, then Tugu Tani, then also Sarinah, which will probably be affected,” he said.
