Montreal Canadiens prospect Alexander Zharovsky ended the regular season on a high note on Friday.
The 34th choice of the 2025 vintage scored his 16th goal and collected his 42nd point in 59 games. Zharovsky fired a powerful one-timer from the right circle early in the first period. Ufa’s Salavat Yualev finally won 2-1 over HC Sochi.
Zharovsky thus ties Kirill Kaprizov for 2nd place in points in a season by a player under 20 years old in the KHL. Kaprizov had done it in 49 games.
The record belongs to Ivan Demidov, who had 49 last season in 65 games.
