[Reporter Xu Zhengyang/Report from Taipei]Secondary school regulations stipulate that each team should submit a list of 60 players retained under post-season contracts to the league before November 30 of each year. Each team has already conducted an internal review. Former pitcher Zeng Renhe, who lives in the United States, was released by Lotte. Three pitchers, Liu Yuyan, Lai Zhiqi, and Wen Zhanle, have not had their contracts renewed.
After Lotte’s head coach Koji Koji resigned and the second-team fielding coordinator Chen Ruizhen and pitching coach Cai Mingjin did not renew their contracts, they continued to notify some players that they would not renew their contracts. Zeng Renhe, who had played less than 10 games in the past two years, was released and has recently withdrawn from the team. It is understood that although other teams are considering him, they still need to evaluate his injuries in the past two years and his status in the second team.
Liu Yuyan was released by Lotte after the 2021 season, and moved to Weiquan Long the next year. After being released by Weiquan last year, he returned to Lotte, and was released by Lotte for the second time this year. Lai Zhiqi and Wen Zhanle stayed in the second team for the entire season this year, and Wen Zhanle only played 1 game in the first team in the past two years.
