“Fifty -five minutes to drive from Tokoz to the intersection at Ford is a decent massacre, even patience will not help,” wrote one of the angry discussions on Facebook. And it was one of the few decent posts. To explain: it is a distance of two kilometers that can normally be overcome in 4 minutes.
At times, the column reached the local part of Stržanov, ie about 3.5 km. The intersections on the opposite side of the city were also clogged. Nor did the public transport lines.
The problem was that drivers did not count on the emergency repair of the road I/37 and could not prepare for it. Although it was only local repair in five places, milling and subsequent asphalting forced alternating operation with one lane, which caused complete collapse.

But why did the RMD embark on a repair in a situation where there is also a closed road to Havlíčkův Brod, a road to Brno and Vyocko with a student bridge, so there is no city passage to go around?

In many cases, the vulgar attacks of drivers were heading to the town hall, but it defends that it is innocent.
“The event is directed by the RMD, which insufficiently informed us not only as a city that the work will be done here,” said Mayor Martin Mrkos (Žďár – Living City). “Given the already difficult traffic situation in the city, however, we were somewhat surprised by the decision of the RMD to start the start of repairs to these days and moreover the morning leaders,” he added.
