Although both rivals tried to tilt the score in their favor in the setup, the match ended goalless. The Brno team came up empty-handed for the first time in the second league season. Zbrojovka last defeated Opava in a competitive match four years ago, since then they have failed to defeat Opava for the sixth time in a row.
On Friday, after a series of five defeats, Sparta B won in Prostějov and left the relegation positions in the table. She couldn’t follow up the win today. Šmiga decided the match in the 23rd minute. The newcomer from Central Bohemia moved into the first half of the table to seventh place. Letenští remained fourteenth with only a two-point lead on the relegation zone.
