Youth Parapan American Games 2025: Banners Delivered | Chile 2025

Wednesday, October 29, 2025. The Vice President of the Republic, Alvaro Elizaldeaccompanied by the Minister of Sports, Jaime Pizarrothose official delivery of the national flag to Joseline Yévenes (for table tennis) and Hugo Silva (wheelchair basketball), standard bearers of Team ParaChile, in the prelude to the opening ceremony of the VI Youth Parapan American Games Chile 2025which will take place in our country between October 31 and November 9.

In addition to the presentation of the banner, carried out at the Paralympic Training Center of the National Stadium Park, also medals were presented gold, silver and bronze for which they will compete more than 1,200 athletes between 13 and 23 years old, from 30 countries on the continentin 14 competitions corresponding to 13 sports.

During the ceremony, Vice President Elizalde pointed out that the athletes “are the representatives of our country, and we will be encouraging them to obtain the best results and demonstrate once again that Chile welcomes those who come from different latitudes with open arms to, in a good fight, compete in accordance with the values of sport.”

“In recent times, there have been a series of events that have put Chile in the world’s showcase. “We have received congratulations for our organizational capacity, and most importantly, it has allowed us to make a significant leap in infrastructure.”

For his part, Minister Pizarro expressed that “one of the examples that our country is providing is related to collaborative collective work. We were present at various Paralympic sports events and we have had a series of events: recently, the Americup adult women’s basketball event, with great attendance; the U-20 World Cup, where the regions were very protagonists; the Track Cycling World Championship last weekend, at the Peñalolén Velodrome; and now, we are going to host this great event, the Youth Parapan American Games. “All this tells us about the collective.”

He inaugural event of the Chile 2025 Youth Parapan American Games will take place this Friday the 31st at 8 p.m. on the southern esplanade of the National Stadium Park, with a show that will combine live music, freestyle, dance and sports emotion, articulated in scenic moments that seek to highlight the main characteristics of the athletes.

The official ceremony will include the raising of the Chilean and Parapan American flags, the lighting of the Parapan American fire, a symbol of unity and hope, and will culminate with the show by the Ilabaca Brothers, who will perform the 31-minute songs, and the urban artist Polimá WestCoast.
