The biggest issue in the talks is Iran’s uranium enrichment activities.
The United States demands ‘zero enrichment’, which completely abandons uranium enrichment, but Iran strongly rejects this, seeing it as a sovereignty issue.
Iran’s position is that uranium enrichment activities should continue, even with the participation of third countries in the Middle East.
The United States also wants to address issues such as Iran’s ballistic missile development program and support for proxy armed forces in neighboring countries in the negotiations.
On the other hand, Iran drew the line that other defense and security issues other than its nuclear program cannot be on the negotiation agenda.
