Saudi cities, large and small, lived through an exceptional night, after the Saudi national team officially qualified for the 2026 World Cup following a draw with the Iraqi national team.

The joy was not limited to the Saudis only, but the Yemeni brothers residing in the Kingdom shared with them their famous folk songs and dances that filled the atmosphere with joy and pride.

The neighborhoods of Riyadh, Jeddah, Jizan and Najran witnessed huge joyful processions in which Yemeni songs were mixed with the Saudi flute, while the Saudis performed the famous Yemeni bara with enthusiasm, amid great interaction from the audience.

The most beautiful scene was when Yemenis and Saudis danced side by side in expressive paintings that reflected the depth of brotherhood and love between the two peoples.

“The Yemenis are always the first to share our joys with us. They make joy from the heart as if they are celebrating their country’s victory.”

These celebrations embodied that Al-Akhdar’s qualification to the World Cup was not just a sporting achievement, but rather an occasion that united hearts, and sent a sincere message that the love between the Yemeni and Saudi peoples is not shaken by events or divided by strife.
