A story from defeat
In YakartaJavier Cámara gives life to Joserraan elite formerportist who survives as a physical education professor in Vallecas. Divorced and aimless, he thinks seeing his second chance in Mara young Bádminton player with both talent and personal problems.
What begins in a sports center in Fuenlabrada soon becomes a trip crazy in cities in provinces, cheap pensions and regional tournaments. Both pursue an impossible dream: to get to Yakarta, where the Bádminton is lived as a religion.
“Our protagonists are like those cities of provinces in which nothing special happens. People without charisma who, even when he wins, loses. This series is our tribute to them,” says Diego San José.
Creative equipment and choral direction

The series has been shot in multiple locations of the Community of Madrid – from Vallecas to Fuenlabrada, passing through Alcalá, Torrejón or Collado Villalba – in addition to Toledo and Tenerife. A geography that reinforces that costumbrista tone of provinces that San José turns into a sign of identity.
