In Italy the Xiaomi 15T Series have just arrived, but in China the giant has already presented the next range that jumps the number sixteen to land directly at Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro and Pro Max, move and progressive number that aim directly at the iPhone 17.
The direct comparison with Apple is not ours, but darkly wanted by Xiaomi who, from the stage of his keynote, never misses an opportunity to compare the mirabulating specifications of the Xiaomi 17 compared to the iPhone 17.
One more screen
The most interesting devices Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max offer respectively 6.3 “and 6.9” screen, but above all stands out the presence of a secondary screen at the top of the back. The solution is not an absolute novelty, already other brands have tried this road: in the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max the rear display is a 2.7-inch AMOLED panel with a update frequency of 120Hz and brightness of 3-500 nit.
In addition to notifications and incoming calls, it is useful to frame and take selfies using the most powerful rear cameras, but also to control music playback, view and use widgets and more.
Of course, users can choose what to view and customize the appearance with backgrounds and beyond. For example, the manufacturer offers a retro -style cover that recalls the game boy, with keys and directional pad on the back to use the display as a pocket mini console.
Triple camera for everyone
Also on the back of the three terminals, three cameras are hosted, main (f/1.75), ultra-glandular (f/2.4) and telephoto lens (5x) each of 50 MP, flanked by a 3D sensor for depth and distance. Thuti and three models work thanks to the chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 of the latest generation.
To ensure good autonomy Xiaomi has decided to integrate particularly generous batteries: in Xiaomi 17 Pro of 6,300 mAh, in 17 pro max of 7,500 mAh and surprise in the basic Xiaomi model 17 an accumulator of 7,000 mAh. Even the top -up reaches top performance: up to 100W cable, or 50W in wireless.
During the presentation, the manufacturer showed an accelerated video with direct comparison with iPhone 17 to show off the greater autonomy of its models. The comparisons with the iPhone range also arrived for other specifications, in particular for the size and weight of Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, thinner and lighter than Apple’s 17 Pro Max.

For the moment, presentation and pre -orders are valid only for the Chinese market: Xiaomi 17 starts from about 540 euros, the 17 Pro of about 600 euros, while the Top 17 Pro Max model of about 720 euros. For Europe you have to wait a few months, they will probably be introduced on the occasion of the Mobile World Congress MWC 2026 in Barcelona which will take place from 2 to 5 March.
