Nowa CEO Microsoft GamingAsha Sharma, she gave codename of the 10th generation Xbox. The console is created as Project Helix and, according to rumors circulating online, it will also allow you to run PC games, which is apparently one of the reasons for Sony’s withdrawal from this market.
And that’s basically it, at least for now. No release date, no details – apart from the cliché that “Project Helix will lead in gaming performance and support on Xbox and PC.” Sharma is scheduled to discuss the new console next week at his first GDC conference with Microsoft partners, so you can count on some information leaking out.
It’s hard to say when Project Helix might debut. It’s unlikely to be released before 2028 or even 2029, just like PlayStation 6.
