Elon musk,CEO of X,Tesla,and SpaceX,is redoubling his efforts on his core companies after social network X experienced a important outage on Saturday. The disruption, lasting approximately two hours from 1 p.m., prompted Musk to reassess his priorities.

Musk’s schedule is already demanding, overseeing XAI (the artificial intelligence company behind Grok), electric car manufacturer Tesla, and rocket manufacturer SpaceX. He also played a role in Donald Trump’s administration.

During the early weeks of Trump’s second presidency, Musk was tasked wiht identifying ways to reduce federal spending. While initially visible in this role, his involvement has decreased recently.

“Back to spend 24 hours a day at work and sleeping in conference/server/factory rooms,” wrote Elon Musk on X after the breakdown. “I must be very focused on X/XAI and Tesla (plus the launch of Starship next week), because we have critical technologies to deploy.As the operating problems of X this week show,major operational improvements must be made. Tilting redundancy should have worked, but this was not the case.”

starship Launch Attempt Scheduled

X was reportedly operating normally again around 3 p.m. AFP’s request for comment went unanswered.

SpaceX announced on Friday its intention to conduct another launch of its Starship mega-rocket next week. The rocket, designed for missions to the Moon and Mars, has experienced in-flight explosions during its two previous test launches.

Earlier in May, Elon Musk acknowledged that his efforts to reduce American federal spending, spearheaded by his commission for government efficiency (DOGE), had not fully met their initial goals, despite proposed cuts and civil service reforms.
