EXETER, Pa. (WOLF) — The Wyoming Area Secondary Center in Exeter has dismissed early due to a threat the school received on Tuesday morning.
Though the threat had been unverified, school officials announced the school was moved into a safe and secure lockdown out of an abundance of caution.
The high school evacuated at 11am.
The school said that students were not permitted to visit their lockers before evacuation due to the nature of the threat they received.
Only the secondary center is affected by this situation. All elementary buildings continue to operate as usual.
