The event drew 106 competitors, showcasing the growing enthusiasm for tennis within the Wuxi community. The tournament was marked by intense matches between seasoned players and the surprising success of newcomers, injecting fresh energy into the local tennis landscape.

Pre-tournament favorites Zhang henghui, Zhu Tingcheng, and zhao Junyan were expected to dominate, forming a formidable “championship tier.” however, an unexpected turn of events saw Liu Qiang withdraw, paving the way for Zhu Tingcheng to advance directly to the finals.

About the Wuxi Amateur Tennis Open

The Wuxi Amateur Tennis Open, guided by the Jiangsu Tennis association and Wuxi Sports Federation, and sponsored by the Wuxi Economic Development Zone Management Committee, is operated by Wuxi Huafa Sports Operations Management Co., Ltd. The tournament employs a three-tier system—weekly, monthly, and finals—to encourage broad participation. To date, the Open has hosted three monthly and 19 weekly competitions, attracting over 500 players aged 10 to 60. Emphasizing inclusivity, the Open welcomes participants from all backgrounds, fostering a shared tennis ecosystem.
