The Chinese specialized in the construction of extremely high bridges. The new construction, located in the province of Koujczo, defeated the current record holder by 60 m, i.e. the DuGe Bridge, which is located only 200 km away.
The new Chinese bridge broke two world records
The new facility broke one more record. The bridge rising over the canyon is 2890 m long and has become the newest bridge in the world. The main span transferred to the flowing bottom of the canyon by the Beipan River is 1420 m long.
The whole bridge was assembled from 93 steel trusses with a total mass exceeding 21 thousand. tone. This is three times as much as the weight of the Eiffel Tower.
Thanks to the new crossing on the Beipan River, the passage between Zhenfeng and Guanling poviats will be shortened from two hours to just two minutes.
The Chinese are specialists in the construction of unusual bridges
The Chinese media emphasize that the mountainous province of Koujczo is a real world center of the bridge. There are about 32 thousand in this region. ready or built bridges, including almost half of the 100 highest bridges in the world.
