The special dishes created by Borghese for Women’s Day
Chef Borghese has decided to celebrate the anniversary of March 8th in its AB restaurants – The luxury of simplicity with an original concept. The project is called “La Luce della Donna”. It is not just a gastronomic proposal, but a tribute to the female figure. The two special creations are available for a few days, from March 6th to 8th, and were designed to be a tribute to his daughters Alexandra is Arizona.
In the AB restaurant – The luxury of simplicity Venice celebrates the anniversary of March 8th with an exclusive creation called “Arizona”, dedicated to the chef’s eldest daughter. The Venetian restaurant is located in the historic Palazzo Vendramin Calergi, a building overlooking the Grand Canal which also houses the Venice Casino, one of the most fascinating locations in the city.
In this case the dish is savory and represents a creative interpretation of contemporary Italian cuisine. The proposal is presented as a composition of pasta sunflowers with spices desserts, filled with fresh goat’s cheese. The dish is completed with pink prawns marinated in lime, yeast sauce, red turnip and herbs from the Venetian lagoon.
At the same time, the AB restaurant – The luxury of simplicity Milan, located in the CityLife district, also celebrates Women’s Day with a special dessert called “Alexandra”. The name is a clear reference to the chef’s second daughter. The dish is a composition that combines particular textures and flavors. At the base we find a vanilla bavarois accompanied by a white chocolate and yuzu mousse, a Japanese citrus fruit with an intense aroma. To complete the dessert there is a pineapple and lime gelée and a passion fruit crispy.
The success of Alessandro Borghese with the 4 Ristoranti program
In addition to his entrepreneurial activity in the restaurant sector, Alessandro Borghese has become over the years one of the best-known faces on Italian television thanks to the Alessandro Borghese program 4 restaurants. The format, broadcast on Sky Uno and also available on the NOW platform, is now in its eleventh season and continues to record very high ratings.
The mechanism of the program has become a real trademark. In every episode four restaurateurs from the same area compete to win the title of best venue in the category. Participants visit their opponents’ restaurants and evaluate different aspects of the gastronomic experience: the location, the menu, the service and the bill. To these elements there is always a special category linked to a dish that is symbolic of the territory. At the end of the race the most awaited moment arrives with the Borghese’s vote. The chef’s judgment can confirm or overturn the final ranking, often creating moments of tension and twists.
Over the years the program has crossed the whole of Italy, recounting culinary traditions and local gastronomic realities. The bond between the program and the audience became so strong that in 2025 it was celebrated its tenth anniversary with a big event in Milan, in Piazza dei Mercanti, where hundreds of fans were able to meet the chef. The new 2025-2026 season continued this gastronomic discovery, touching very different locations. His journey among Italian restaurants he went from the Piacentini hills to Etna, passing through cities such as Turin, Pisa, Chioggia and Reggio Calabria.
